About the Club

The UWA Boat Club has been the Rowing WA Champion Club for the last seven years. We’re also the largest rowing club in the state. We offer engaging rowing programs for both students and non-students in our community, from beginners through to international athletes. We are based out of the UWA Boat Shed and UWA Watersports Complex on the picturesque Matilda Bay at 9 Hackett Drive, Crawley (just across the road from UWA).

About the Role

The High-Performance Coach is required to deliver a high-performance program with expectations outlined as key performance indicators which will be measured half-way through, and at the conclusion of the season. The indicators will be based on performance at time trials and the 2021 Australian Rowing Championships in Tasmania in consultation with the prospective coach. There will also be feedback generated from athletes and the other volunteer coaches at the end of the season.

The ideal candidate will work well with all ages, primarily those between 17 and 25. They will also appreciate the value of high-performance rowing in the wider club context with an interest in building a community of engaged rowers at all levels. Finally, they will also liaise with the other volunteer coaches in the club to ensure a sustainable development pathway for members.
