Good Sports

WA Club of the Year

2021

Congratulations UWABC!

We want to thank all of you for helping us to create a welcoming, family friendly club environment where everyone is encouraged to participate.

Good Sports was impressed by our commitment to creating a healthy and inclusive sporting environment for young people, helping to support our members’ mental health and minimise harm from alcohol.

Let’s keep up the great work and continue to work towards being a healthier club and community.

The UWA Boat Club is proud to be a Good Sports Club

We take every measure possible to ensure all members, alumni and public are in safe and welcoming community.

The policy below guides all decisions and actions that relate to the health and safety of our community

Good Sports Policy

The UWA Boat Club, via its affiliations with Rowing WA and Rowing Australia, adheres to the rules outlined by the Australian Sports Anti-doping Authority (ASADA).

We have a zero-tolerance policy for any and all prohibited substances and methods as outlined on the ASADA website: https://www.asada.gov.au. We encourage all members to take caution if using any supplements that they follow ASADA’s guidelines. One way to do this is to look for the Informed Sport logo.

The UWA Boat Club, in conjunction with Good Sports, does not condone smoking. Further details can be found in the UWABC Smoking Management Policy
